Now Showing "Ocean Spirit Tease" QuickTime movie
The Ocean Spirit expedition was lead by Bill Kreutzmann the drummer for the Grateful Dead. Filmmakers Jeffrey Haupt and Wes Skiles recorded the expedition and Produced a video cassette. The adventure envolved a 3,000 mile ocean voyage from San Francisco to the remote islands called the Rivillagigedos, 400+ miles South West of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The trip gave the team the opportunity to swim in the ocean with Giant Sperm Whales and to ride and interact with Manta Rays. It was also the beginning of a musical journey that would see an original score recorded by members of the Dead and Jeffrey, at their Club Front Studio in San Rafeal, CA.
